CO-LOCATION

Where your Data Center locates

Co-location (sometimes known as “colo”) is the practice of renting space for your servers and other computing and storage hardware at a third-party provider’s data center facility. Typically, co-location services include the building in which everything is housed, as well as networking, physical security, redundant power and redundant cooling components, which then support the servers and storage provided by the customer.

Relying on a co-location data center allows you to eliminate the capital expenditures (CAPEX) of building and maintaining your facility while enabling you to retain ownership and complete control of your physical servers. However, it still requires you to shoulder upfront hardware costs and typically involves increased travel costs for your engineers if they need to access the equipment manually.

With our latest technology applied from APC Schneider, we ensure to bring the best experience to the customers, such as International standards, Stable infrastructure, Optimal cost of electricity consumption, Green readiness for Data Center. Moreover, what we aim to achieve shortly is to wholly automated all of the monitoring & alerting procedures, in which lower the cost for customers and reduce the minor human-made faults.

Datacenter colocation

There are two types of co-location that USDC Technology offers:

  • + Rack Co-location (Unit: rack): a 47U Floor-Standing Server Rack from APC Schneider with the latest technology.
  •
  • + Cage Co-location (Unit: m2, square meter): a dedicated space within a traditional raised-floor data center; it is surrounded by mesh walls and entered through a locking door. Cages share power and cooling infrastructure with other data center tenants.

Facilities

Colocation offers space in the provider’s data center for your IT hardware. These facilities are typically audited for reliability and include racks, cabinets, and cable trays for your equipment.

Power

Our data center typically have backup generators with varying levels of redundancy and battery backup systems or uninterruptible power supplies, depending on the facility.

Cooling

Colocation services provide cooling systems to protect your hardware, typically including redundant HVAC systems and chiller configurations (e.g., centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and water loop pumps).

Physical Security

Most colocation centers maintain high levels of physical security, including on-site security guards, 24x7x365 surveillance, and biometric authorization.

How we can help?

Save money, of course.

Enterprises can benefit from not having to shell out vast amounts of cash for stable infrastructure, steady connectivity, high bandwidth, and expert IT support staff. We ensure to bring extremely durable facilities with the most optimal costs for the customer to choose between hosting their primary DC or DR system.

Reduce Operating costs = Increase Business Opportunities

Large corporations usually have a dedicated team of IT professionals to manage and design their IT infrastructure, especially the Data Center. USDC Technology provides a way for customers to have the support of an expert IT staff looking after their system to make sure that it is always up and running at an affordable rate.

The benefits of our multi-million-dollar infrastructure

Besides clearing the work area and preserving your operating costs, we also offer custom-built cages backed by our world-class data center infrastructure. Our cages are tailored to suit your space, data, server, and power requirements. Moreover, we can eliminate the expenses associated with maintaining your own network.

The network infrastructure is designed to adapt to the future’s needs

Our core network infrastructure is designed with 10/40Gbps standards and provide at least 1/10Gbps of connection standards from core network/system to the customers’ location in our Data Center.

FAQ

1. What is Colocation services?

USDC Technology’s Colocation is a service that provides space by a rack or private area (cage) in the Data Center area according to Tier III international standards (N+1 backup) with a lot of advantages:
+ 99.99% availability
+ High-speed internet connection
+ Stable power source
+ The temperature is precisely controlled by an industrial air-flow conditioner system specifically designed for the high workload data centers.

2. What is RACK space?

+ In data centers or engine rooms, the devices are installed in racks. In USDC Technology’s Data Center, we provide a 47U rack (Height: 2292MM x Width: 749MM x Depth: 1072MM)
+ When 1U / switch / hub / router / server recording is recorded, they are 44.45 mm in height. The manufacturer usually provides the size of information technology equipment as a multiple of 1U.

3. Is it possible to use different ISPs?

+ To best serve customers, USDC Technology welcomes all ISPs in Vietnam, which is an advantage of the neutral data center.
+ With our neutral data center, we can easily peer to different ISPs; currently, there are significant suppliers such as Viettel, FPT, VNPT that have cooperated with USDC Technology to provide services to customers at our DC.
