On September 29, 2022, at the Information Technology Park – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Edge Centers and USDC Technology were delighted to announce they’re officially embarking on the deployment of the first modular data center in Vietnam.
On this special occasion, the signing ceremony between Mr. John Howl, Chairman of Edge Centers and Mr. Nguyen Chi Ha Hai, CEO of USDC Technology was also collaboratively taken place. Accordingly, USDC Technology has officially become the implementation partner for Edge Centers’ first edge data center in Vietnam (EC51).
EC51 is not only the FIRST modular data center but also the FIRST off-grid purpose-built data centre in Vietnam that will use 100% solar energy. EC51 will be connected to 06 telecommunications service providers in Vietnam with a dedicated capacity of 1MW in addition to 250kW of solar and batteries.
This strategic collaboration between Edge Centres and USDC Technology is expected to stimulate the development off-grid modular data centers and strongly bolster the sustainability of the digital economy in Vietnam.
